On June 19, 2013, 15,000 patriots from across our great nation came together in Washington DC to decry the willful and deliberate targeting of American citizens and conservative groups by the Internal Revenue Service.  Many liberty-loving Americans, from key Senators, Congressman and grassroots activists participated in the rally, sharing their thoughts and sentiments.  Below are my remarks:

In 2010, Barrack Obama voiced these ominous words:

“We are going to punish our enemies and reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.”            

We now know just what Obama meant with that prophetic threat.

Obama’s IRS, which should be renamed the “Internal Repression Service”, PUNISHED the Chattanooga Tea Party by delaying our application for 1231 days!  Two months ago we were finally approved retroactive to May 2012, but we were denied our status for 2009, 2010, 2011, and half of 2012!!

In the Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson spoke of “a long train of abuses.”

Each of you, along with many of our fellow Americans, know that our government’s abuses are growing exponentially.  And even the media, despite their “hope and change” bumper stickers, are now experiencing Obama’s abuses.

So what should we to do in response to the “train of abuses” we are seeing?  

I contend that we must grow up and stop playing T-BALL while the other side plays HARDBALL.  

We don’t send youngsters to New York to play the Yankees.  Neither do we send Cub Scouts to fight Al Qaeda.  And we should not send elected officials to Washington who will not protect and defend our Constitution from those who are actively assaulting and destroying from within that timeless and exceptional document.  

A year ago 12 Republican Senators sent a letter to the IRS demanding answers to the allegations that tea party groups were being targeted.  Last month though a top Republican staffer told me that the IRS never responded to their letter.  

But here’s the kicker: the Senators took no punitive action against the IRS!

Now you tell me.  Were the Senators playing T-BALL or HARDBALL?  Of course it was T-BALL!!!    Defunding the IRS would be hardball!      And that is certainly within the scope and power of Congress!

Better yet, how about abolishing the IRS?

When the most powerful man in the world threatens to “punish” his “enemies” when they are simply exercising their Constitutional rights to disagree with Obama’s devastating policies, what should we do in response?        

Play T-Ball or Hardball?

So here’s my personal challenge to Senator McConnell, Speaker Boehner and my personal representatives: Senator Alexander, Senator Corker, and Congressman Fleischmann:  Lay down your T-ball bats!  Pick up a Louisville Slugger!  And let’s play hardball!   Defend our Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. Or else, step aside and make room for those who are willing to do so!! We will respect you if you do. If you will not, we will do our best to convince our fellow citizens of the danger your T-ball strategy represents to the future of Liberty and this exceptional nation!

The words emblazoned on the Liberty Bell challenge us to: “PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT ALL THE LAND.”

This my fellow patriots is our sacred duty:  Advance Liberty and Reject Tyranny!!

For if we do, our future is bright!   If not, I leave you with the somber warning from John Adams:  

“LIBERTY, ONCE LOST, IS LOST FOREVER!”
