This blog, “Life, Liberty and…” is dedicated to the principles and values upon which our great nation was founded. While our Founding Fathers espoused these principles and values, their origin can be traced to ancient documents and ultimately to the Holy Scriptures. Without the values that flow from the Judeo-Christian value systems, it is unlikely that our nation would have ever birthed, much less survived the myriad of threats to which it has been subjected.
While many of these values are serious, deep, and thought provoking, arousing strong emotion, other aspects of life are light, entertaining and universally accepted or at the minimum not controversial. Thus, the focus of this site will be to not only delve into the “hard stuff” that can at times elicit strong opinions, but we will also strive to temper those discussions with “fun stuff” too — entertaining topics of wide interest and/or agreement. (In my life, the “fun stuff” has included road racing, hence the graphic of my racing car!)
Through our engagement, we trust that a basic level of civility and respect can be maintained as we together seek to share differing opinions, debate facts, but ultimately discover Truth.
- Life: “I have come that they may have Life and that they might have it more abundantly.” Jesus Christ (John 10:10)
- Liberty: “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.” Apostle Paul (2 Corinthians 3:17)
- And… “But seek first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you.” Jesus Christ (Matthew 6:33)
